Day 1: Arrival in Manali | Acclimatization & Relaxation

Welcome to the beautiful hill town of Manali, the gateway to the mesmerizing Spiti Valley. Upon arrival, our representative will assist you with hotel check-in.

Since Spiti Valley is located at an altitude of over 12,500 feet, the first day is dedicated entirely to acclimatization. Travelers are strongly advised to relax and allow their bodies to adjust to the high-altitude environment to minimize the risk of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS).

Spend the day at leisure, breathe in the fresh Himalayan air, and prepare yourself for the unforgettable adventure ahead.

Day 2: Manali to Kaza | Journey Through Rohtang & Kunzum Pass (203 KM)

After an early breakfast, begin your thrilling road trip from Manali to Kaza, the heart of Spiti Valley. This scenic drive is considered one of the most adventurous Himalayan routes in India.

Today’s journey takes you across the majestic Rohtang Pass and the stunning Kunzum Pass. You will also cross the famous Bada Darra and Chota Darra, seasonal water crossings formed by melting glaciers and snow streams.

As the landscapes gradually transform into barren mountains and dramatic valleys, you’ll witness the raw beauty of Spiti like never before.

By evening, arrive in Kaza and check into your hotel. Later, explore the lively Kaza Market, visit charming cafés, taste local cuisine, and shop for authentic Spitian handicrafts.

Day 3: Kaza Sightseeing | Langza, Komic & Hikkim Excursion

Wake up to spectacular mountain views and begin a full-day sightseeing tour of Spiti Valley’s iconic villages.

Your first stop is Langza Village, famously known as the Fossil Village. The giant Buddha statue overlooking the valley offers breathtaking panoramic views and is one of the most photographed spots in Spiti.

Continue towards Komic Village, recognized as one of the highest inhabited villages in the world. Explore the ancient monastery, interact with locals, and experience the peaceful Himalayan lifestyle.

Later, visit Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office. Don’t miss the chance to send postcards to your loved ones from this unique location.

Return to Kaza by evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Pin Valley, Mud Village & Dhankar Monastery Excursion

After breakfast, head towards the stunning Pin Valley, known for its untouched beauty and rich Buddhist culture.

Visit the famous Kungri Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Spiti Valley. Continue towards Mud Village, a peaceful hamlet surrounded by majestic Himalayan landscapes.

Later, proceed to Gue Village, home to the mysterious 500-year-old naturally preserved mummy of a Buddhist monk.

The journey continues to the spectacular Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff overlooking the confluence of the Spiti and Pin Rivers.

Return to Kaza in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Kaza to Nako via Tabo & Sumdo

Today’s journey takes you deeper into the cultural heart of Spiti Valley.

Your first major stop is the ancient Tabo Monastery, over 1,000 years old and often referred to as the “Ajanta of the Himalayas.” Explore its stunning murals, ancient scriptures, meditation caves, and the famous Golden Temple.

Drive further through Sumdo Village, marking the border between Spiti and Kinnaur regions.

Arrive at the picturesque Nako Village, situated near the Indo-Tibetan border. Explore the serene Nako Lake, the ancient Nako Monastery, and the sacred footprints believed to belong to Guru Padmasambhava.

Return to Kaza by evening.

Day 6: Kaza to Chandratal Lake via Kee Monastery & Kibber

Today, get ready to witness one of the most beautiful lakes in the Himalayas — Chandratal Lake, also known as the Moon Lake.

En route, visit the iconic Kee Monastery, the largest and most famous monastery in Spiti Valley, offering spectacular valley views.

Continue towards Kibber Village, one of the highest motorable villages in the world, followed by a stop at the engineering marvel Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest suspension bridge.

Cross the scenic Kunzum Pass before finally reaching the magical Chandratal Lake situated at an altitude of approximately 4,300 meters.

Spend peaceful moments beside the crystal-clear lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains. If weather permits, enjoy a mesmerizing sunset at CB12 (Chandra Bhaga Point).
