Day 1: Arrive at Bagdogra | Scenic Transfer to Phuentsholing, Bhutan

Your unforgettable Bhutan motorcycle adventure begins as you arrive at Bagdogra Airport. Meet our travel representative and embark on a picturesque drive towards Phuentsholing, the vibrant gateway to Bhutan.

Travel comfortably through the lush tea gardens of the Dooars region and the charming town of Hashimara while enjoying breathtaking views of the Himalayan foothills. Upon reaching the Bhutan border, complete the necessary immigration formalities and obtain your entry permit.

After check-in at the hotel, relax and prepare for the thrilling biking expedition that awaits you in the Kingdom of Bhutan.

Overnight Stay: Phuentsholing

Highlight of the Day: Scenic drive from Bagdogra to Bhutan’s border town, Phuentsholing.

Important Note: Airport pickup is scheduled at 12:00 PM. Please book your flight accordingly.

Day 2: Ride from Phuentsholing to Thimphu (145 KM)

After breakfast, receive your motorcycle and meet the dedicated support team, including your Bike Marshal, mechanic, and backup vehicle crew.

Following the completion of the Bhutan riding permit endorsement process, begin your first Himalayan ride through winding mountain roads and lush forests.

The route offers spectacular views of the Chhukha Valley, cascading waterfalls, and the impressive Tala Hydroelectric Project. As you ascend into the mountains, experience the transition from subtropical landscapes to Bhutan’s pristine highland scenery.

Arrive in Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital city, and spend the evening exploring its bustling markets, cafes, and nightlife.

Overnight Stay: Thimphu

Highlight of the Day: Chhukha Waterfalls, Tala Dam Viewpoint, and Thimphu City.

Note: A refundable security deposit of ₹5,000 (cash only) will be collected by the trip leader.

Day 3: Thimphu Sightseeing | Ride to Phobjikha Valley (130 KM)

Start your day with an exploration of Bhutan’s cultural treasures.

Visit the magnificent Buddha Dordenma Statue, one of the largest Buddha statues in the world, offering panoramic views of Thimphu Valley. Continue to Simply Bhutan Museum, where you can experience authentic Bhutanese culture and traditions.

Next, ride to the spectacular Dochula Pass (10,200 ft), famous for its 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens and breathtaking Himalayan vistas.

Later, descend into the serene Phobjikha Valley, renowned for its untouched beauty and as the winter habitat of the endangered Black-Necked Crane.

Highlight of the Day: Buddha Dordenma, Simply Bhutan Museum, and Dochula Pass.

Day 4: Phobjikha Valley to Punakha (80 KM)

Wake up amidst the tranquility of Phobjikha Valley and visit the historic Gangtey Monastery, a significant center of Buddhist learning overlooking the valley.

Continue your ride through scenic mountain roads to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan.

Explore the stunning Punakha Dzong, often considered the most beautiful fortress-monastery in Bhutan, strategically located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers.

Later, walk across the famous Punakha Suspension Bridge, adorned with colorful prayer flags and offering spectacular river views.

Highlight of the Day: Gangtey Monastery, Punakha Dzong, and Suspension Bridge.

Day 5: Punakha to Paro (128 KM)

Begin your day with a visit to the sacred Chimi Lhakhang Temple, popularly known as the Fertility Temple and associated with Bhutan’s beloved Divine Madman.

Continue your motorcycle journey toward Paro via the scenic Dochula Pass and Thimphu Valley. En route, stop at Chuzom, where the Paro Chhu and Thimphu Chhu rivers merge.

Upon reaching Paro, explore its lively local market filled with traditional handicrafts, souvenirs, textiles, and Bhutanese art.

Spend the evening experiencing Paro’s charming cafés and authentic Bhutanese cuisine.

Highlight of the Day: Chimi Lhakhang Temple, Chuzom Confluence, and Paro Town Exploration.

Note: Travelers sensitive to cultural artwork depicting fertility symbolism may choose to skip the interior sections of Chimi Lhakhang.

Day 6: Trek to the Legendary Tiger’s Nest Monastery

Today brings one of Bhutan’s most iconic experiences—the hike to the world-famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang).

Perched dramatically on a cliffside at an elevation of over 10,000 feet, this sacred monastery is Bhutan’s most revered spiritual landmark.

The trail winds through fragrant pine forests, fluttering prayer flags, and scenic viewpoints before reaching the monastery complex.

Explore ancient meditation caves, sacred shrines, and beautifully preserved Buddhist murals while soaking in breathtaking mountain views.

After descending, return to Paro and relax. You may choose to enjoy a traditional Bhutanese Hot Stone Bath (optional and self-paid).

Day 7: Ride to Chele La Pass | Return to Phuentsholing (145 KM)

Gear up for the most exhilarating ride of the expedition.

Ride towards Chele La Pass (13,000 ft), the highest motorable mountain pass in Bhutan. The route rewards riders with sweeping Himalayan panoramas, fluttering prayer flags, alpine landscapes, and seasonal snow-covered terrain.

Spend time capturing unforgettable photographs before descending through scenic valleys on your final Bhutan motorcycle ride.

Arrive in Phuentsholing, return your bikes, and enjoy your last evening in Bhutan.

Highlight of the Day: Chele La Pass and Bhutan’s Most Scenic Mountain Ride.

Day 8: Phuentsholing to Bagdogra | Tour Concludes

After breakfast, begin your comfortable transfer back to Bagdogra Airport.

As you leave the Kingdom of Bhutan behind, carry home incredible memories of majestic mountain passes, ancient monasteries, pristine valleys, vibrant culture, and one of the most rewarding motorcycle adventures in the Himalayas.

  • Any airfare/rail fare other than what is mentioned in inclusions, or any type of transportation from Manali or Srinagar.
  • Parking and monument entry fees during sightseeing.
  • Additional costs due to flight cancellations, landslides, roadblocks, and other natural calamities.
  • Security deposit per motorbike of Rs. 5,000/- as per the deposit policy (refundable at the end of the trip if there is no damage or spare parts required. The refund would be credited within 7-10 working days, post filling up the security form).
