Day 1:- Arriving at Varanasi – With Evening Ganga Aarti
You will arrive into the ‘spiritual capital’ of India — Varanasi. Once you arrive at your airport or railway station, someone from our local team will meet you and assist you in checking-in to your hotel.
This evening you will enjoy the holy atmosphere of the ghats along the Ganges river as you take part in one of the best-known experiences of Varanasi — the Ganga Aarti. The combination of synchronised rituals, illuminated lamps and chants of devotion create this wonderful experience, which embodies the true essence of Varanasi.
You will return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Approximate Times of Ganga Aarti:
Summer: 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Winter: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Day 02: Sunrise Boat Ride, Temple दर्शन & Sarnath Visit
Start your day off with a serenity filled sunrise boat ride down the Ganges River where you will feel the percussive beat of the ghats and all the devotees performing rituals and endorsing the sun rise; something only found in Varanasi.
After breakfast, you’ll go on a temple tour that includes both the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Annapurna Temple, in addition to passing through the grounds of the prestigious Banaras Hindu University.
In the next phase of the day you will visit Sarnath – a very significant Buddhist pilgrimage site where Lord Buddha first gave his sermon. Highlights include the Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa and the Archaeological Museum.
At the end of your day you will return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Varanasi.
Day 03: Varanasi – Sitamarhi – Prayagraj Excursion
Begin with breakfast and a scenic drive to Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad), including a visit to the sacred site of Sitamarhi, where Goddess Sita spent time before her exile. We will visit the Sita Samadhi Asthal and Valmiki Ashram, both of which are steeped in sacred mythology, and then continue to Prayagraj. At Triveni Sangam, we will witness the convergence of the three holy rivers (Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati) and take part in traditional pooja ceremonies performed by priests along the riverbanks. We will also visit some of Prayagraj’s major tourist destinations, including Hanuman Temple, Anand Bhavan, and Swaraj Bhawan, all significant landmarks from India’s modern history. Later that evening, we will return to Varanasi to spend the night.
Day 4 – Travel to Departure Point
After enjoying a nice breakfast at the hotel and any remaining time exploring or relaxing, you will be transferred to the airport or railway station in either Varanasi or Prayagraj depending on where your travel picks up. You have completed your trip with wonderful memories and a stronger bond with your spirituality.
