Day 01: Delhi to Khajuraho – Arrival & Dance Festival Experience
Pick up from the airport/railway station, Delhi, to fly to Khajuraho. Upon arrival, you will be met and taken to your hotel for check-in.
After checking into your hotel that day, we will visit the world-famous Khajuraho Dance Festival, which takes place at the Chitragupta Temple and Vishwanath Temple/Temple Compound, both of which are beautifully illuminated.
During this time of the year, enjoy traditional and classical Indian dance performances (both contemporary Indian and classical dance) as well as a mix of traditional and modern folk traditions from various parts of India, all complemented by Indowestern-style cultural performances in an amazing environment.
Enjoy dinner (at the hotel) and stay overnight there.
Day 02: Khajuraho Temple Tour & Cultural Festival Activities
After breakfast, your day begins with a visit to some of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed temples of Khajuraho, starting with the Western Group:
The Kandariya Mahadev Temple, The Lakshmana Temple, The Devi Jagdambi Temple, The Chaunsath Yogini Temple, and The Varaha Mandap.
You will then proceed to the Eastern Group (The Vamana Temple and The Javari Temple).
Next you will visit three Jain temples: The Parshvanath Temple, The Adinath Temple, and The Ghantai Temple.
If you have the time; you could visit the picturesque Khajur Sagar and see the traditional village nearby.
You will have your lunch at your hotel, then return to the festival location for another night of enjoyable cultural activities. You will see many different types of Indian classical dances (Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Manipuri, and Chhau) along with many types of folk and fusion performances.
Dinner at your hotel and overnight stay.
Day 03: Khajuraho – Departure
After breakfast, enjoy some leisure time before checking out from the hotel. You will be transferred to the airport or railway station in Khajuraho for your onward journey.
