Day 1: Delhi to Shimla | Overnight Journey to the Himalayas
Your thrilling Winter Spiti Valley expedition begins from Delhi as the group gathers at the designated pickup point in the evening. Meet your fellow travelers and trip leaders before attending a short briefing session about the upcoming Himalayan adventure.
After introductions, board the overnight vehicle and begin your scenic journey towards Shimla, leaving behind the city lights for the majestic mountains of Himachal Pradesh.

Day 2: Shimla to Chitkul/Sangla – Into the Heart of Kinnaur Valley
Arrive in Shimla early in the morning via the iconic Hindustan-Tibet Highway, one of India’s most scenic mountain roads. From here, switch to a comfortable Tempo Traveller and continue deeper into the mesmerizing Kinnaur Valley.
As you drive through snow-covered mountains, pine forests, and dramatic valleys, feel the landscape gradually transform into a winter wonderland. By evening, reach the beautiful village of Chitkul or Sangla and check into your cozy stay.
Enjoy fun group bonding activities, dinner, and a peaceful overnight stay amidst the Himalayas.

Day 3: Chitkul/Sangla to Kalpa – Views of the Majestic Kinner Kailash
After breakfast, begin your journey towards Kalpa, a picturesque Himalayan village known for its breathtaking mountain views and spiritual atmosphere.
En route, stop at Reckong Peo, the administrative town of Kinnaur district, offering panoramic views of the sacred Kinner Kailash Peak (weather permitting). If time allows, explore the historic Kamru Fort, a cultural gem of the region.
Upon arrival in Kalpa, visit the ancient Kalpa Monastery and the famous Suicide Point, renowned for its dramatic cliffside views overlooking the snow-clad Himalayan ranges.

Day 4: Kalpa to Nako – Journey Through the Trans-Himalayan Desert
Wake up to stunning mountain views and continue your adventure towards Nako, a peaceful village nestled in the cold desert region of Himachal Pradesh.
On the way, stop at Khab Sangam, the spectacular confluence of the Sutlej and Spiti Rivers, where two mighty rivers merge amidst rugged mountain terrain.
Upon reaching Nako, explore the serene Nako Lake and visit the sacred Nako Monastery, known for its peaceful ambiance and Tibetan Buddhist heritage.
After sightseeing, return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Nako to Kaza – Exploring Ancient Monasteries of Spiti
After breakfast, drive towards Kaza, the cultural and administrative center of Spiti Valley.
The route is filled with ancient monasteries, rugged cliffs, and breathtaking landscapes. Visit the legendary Tabo Monastery, over 1000 years old and often referred to as the “Ajanta of the Himalayas.”
Continue towards the spectacular Dhankar Monastery and Dhankar Fort, dramatically perched above the valley offering unforgettable views of Spiti’s moon-like terrain.
Reach Kaza by evening and check into your stay. The evening is free to explore local cafés, markets, and the charming vibe of Spiti Valley.

Day 6: Spiti Valley Sightseeing – Key Monastery, Hikkim, Komic & Langza
Today is dedicated to discovering Spiti Valley’s most iconic destinations.
Start with a visit to the magnificent Key Monastery, the largest and most famous monastery in Spiti Valley. Continue towards Chicham Bridge, known as Asia’s highest suspension bridge, offering dramatic views of the deep canyon below.
Later, visit Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office, where travelers can send postcards from one of the highest inhabited places on Earth.
Drive further to Komic Village, among the highest motorable villages in the world, before ending the day at Langza, the famous fossil village dominated by a giant Buddha statue overlooking the valley.
Return to Kaza for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Kaza to Kalpa – Return Through Spiti’s Frozen Landscapes
After breakfast, begin your return journey towards Kalpa while soaking in the last glimpses of Spiti’s surreal beauty.
If weather and road conditions permit, stop at the breathtaking Lingti Falls, which often freezes completely during winter, creating a magical natural spectacle.
Arrive in Kalpa by evening, followed by dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Kalpa to Shimla | Overnight Journey to Delhi
After breakfast, continue your drive back towards Shimla.

Upon arrival in Shimla, board the overnight bus back to Delhi while reliving the unforgettable moments of your Winter Spiti adventure.
