Day 1 – Shimla to Sarahan | Gateway to Kinnaur Valley

Your mesmerizing Spiti Valley adventure begins from Shimla as you drive towards the scenic village of Sarahan, nestled amidst the mighty Himalayas. En route, travel through the charming hill towns of Kufri and Narkanda, surrounded by dense pine forests and breathtaking mountain landscapes.

Sarahan is known for its apple orchards, colorful wildflowers, crystal-clear streams, and tranquil atmosphere. The village is also home to the rare Jujurana bird, the state bird of Himachal Pradesh.

Upon arrival, complete your hotel check-in and relax amidst the serene beauty of the valley. In the evening, visit the famous Bhimakali Temple, one of Himachal Pradesh’s most revered temples showcasing stunning traditional Himalayan architecture.

Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Sarahan.

Day 2 – Sarahan to Chitkul via Sangla Valley

After breakfast, continue your unforgettable journey towards Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border. Today’s drive through the spectacular Sangla Valley offers mesmerizing views of snow-clad peaks, lush green valleys, and the roaring Baspa River.

During the journey, witness iconic attractions including:

Day 3 – Chitkul to Kalpa | Views of Kinner Kailash

Wake up to crisp mountain air and enjoy breakfast before visiting the ITBP Checkpost and the iconic “Hindustan Ka Aakhri Dhaba,” known as India’s Last Dhaba.

Later, begin your scenic drive towards Kalpa, one of the most beautiful villages in Kinnaur Valley. En route, pass through Sangla and witness stunning panoramic views of the majestic Kinner Kailash Peak, believed to be the mythical winter abode of Lord Shiva.

On reaching Kalpa, explore:

  • Kalpa Monastery
  • Roghi Suicide Point
  • Reckong Peo Market

Day 4 – Kalpa to Nako | Journey on the Hindustan-Tibet Highway

The route features dramatic cliffs, rugged terrain, and jaw-dropping Himalayan landscapes. Stop at Khab Sangam, where the turquoise Spiti River merges beautifully with the Sutlej River.

Upon reaching Nako, explore:

Day 5 – Nako to Kaza via Tabo, Gue & Dhankar

After breakfast, visit the ancient Tabo Monastery, over 1000 years old and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site candidate. Famous for its mud architecture and priceless Buddhist murals, Tabo is often referred to as the “Ajanta of the Himalayas.”

Continue towards:

  • Gue Monastery – home to the mysterious 500-year-old naturally preserved mummy
  • Dhankar Monastery – dramatically perched on a cliff overlooking the Spiti Valley
  • Kungri Monastery and Mud Village (subject to time and road conditions)

By evening, arrive in Kaza, the vibrant capital of Spiti Valley.

Explore the local cafés, markets, and Tibetan culture before enjoying dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 – Kaza Sightseeing | Langza, Komic & Hikkim

Your first stop is Langza Village, also known as the Fossil Village, famous for ancient marine fossils and the giant Buddha Statue overlooking the valley.

Continue towards:

  • Komic Village – one of the world’s highest inhabited villages
  • Hikkim Post Office – the highest post office in the world where you can send postcards to loved ones

Interact with locals, explore traditional monasteries, and capture unforgettable Himalayan views.

Return to Kaza by evening.

  • Kibber Village – one of the highest motorable villages in the world
  • Chicham Bridge – Asia’s highest suspension bridge at over 13,500 ft

Cross the breathtaking Kunzum Pass before reaching Chandratal Lake, surrounded by dramatic Himalayan peaks.

Spend peaceful moments by the crystal-clear lake and enjoy spectacular sunset views near CB12 (Chandra Bhaga Point).

By afternoon, arrive in Manali, marking the end of your unforgettable Spiti Valley road trip filled with adventure, spirituality, and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes.

Tour Ends with Beautiful Memories of Spiti Valley.

  • Security deposit per motorbike of Rs. 5,000/- as per the deposit policy (refundable at the end of the trip if there is no damage or spare parts required. The refund would be credited within 7-10 working days, post filling up the security form).
