Day 01: Patna Arrival – Kumrahar & Local Sightseeing
Upon arrival in Patna, you will be received and transferred to your hotel. After check-in and some relaxation, proceed for a half-day city tour.
Begin with a visit to Kumrahar, an important ancient Buddhist site known for its historical remains from the Mauryan period. Continue exploring other key attractions such as the renowned Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Library, the culturally rich Patna Museum, and the iconic Golghar.
Return to the hotel in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Patna.
Day 02: Patna – Nalanda – Rajgir (Approx. 160 KM Total)
After breakfast, drive to Nalanda, one of the most significant centers of ancient learning in the world. Explore the ruins of the Nalanda University, a UNESCO-recognized site that once attracted scholars from across Asia.
Also visit the Xuanzang Memorial Hall, dedicated to the famous Chinese traveler who studied and documented Buddhism here.
Later, proceed to Rajgir, the ancient capital of the Magadha Empire and an important Buddhist pilgrimage destination. Visit the magnificent Vishwa Shanti Stupa, situated atop Ratnagiri Hill, built by Japanese Buddhists.
Continue to Griddhakuta Hill, where Lord Buddha delivered many sermons. Also explore Venu Vana and the historic Bimbisar Jail.
Check in to your hotel in Rajgir. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03: Rajgir – Bodhgaya – Gaya Excursion (Approx. 80 KM)
After breakfast, drive to Bodh Gaya, one of the holiest Buddhist destinations in the world.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and proceed for sightseeing. Visit the sacred Mahabodhi Temple, the exact location where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Spend time near the revered Bodhi Tree and explore various international monasteries representing different Buddhist traditions.
Later, take an excursion to Gaya and visit the spiritual Dungeshwari Caves, where Buddha practiced austerities before enlightenment. Also visit Sujata Village, where Sujata offered kheer to Buddha.
Return to Bodhgaya. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04: Departure – Bodhgaya / Patna
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. You will be transferred to Bodh Gaya Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
Alternatively, you can drive back to Patna for departure.
Return home with peaceful memories of your spiritual journey through the sacred Buddhist circuit.
