Day 01: Arrival in Bodhgaya – Mahabodhi Temple & Bodhi Tree Visit
Upon arrival in Bodh Gaya, you will be warmly received and transferred to your hotel. After check-in and some relaxation, begin your spiritual exploration with a visit to the sacred Mahabodhi Temple.
This revered site marks the place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Spend peaceful moments near the holy Bodhi Tree, which holds immense spiritual significance for Buddhists across the world.
Return to the hotel in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 02: Bodhgaya – Dungeshwari Caves – Sujata Village – Monasteries & Meditation
After breakfast, drive towards Gaya for a spiritually enriching excursion. Visit the ancient Dungeshwari Caves, where Lord Buddha practiced intense penance before attaining enlightenment.
Continue to Sujata Village, the place where Sujata offered kheer to Buddha, marking a turning point in his journey.
Later, explore renowned international monasteries in Bodhgaya such as the Burmese, Tibetan, Japanese, and Chinese monasteries, each showcasing unique architectural and cultural influences.
You may also participate in a half-day meditation session (optional), offering a deeper spiritual experience.
Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 03: Bodhgaya – Rajgir & Nalanda Excursion – Return
After breakfast, proceed on a day trip to Rajgir, the ancient capital of the Magadha Empire and an important Buddhist pilgrimage center.
Visit the serene Vishwa Shanti Stupa located atop Ratnagiri Hill, followed by Griddhakuta Hill, where Buddha delivered many teachings. Also explore Venu Vana, Bimbisar Jail, and Pippala Cave.
After lunch, continue to Nalanda, home to the historic Nalanda University, once one of the world’s greatest centers of learning. Also visit the Xuanzang Memorial Hall, dedicated to the famous Chinese scholar.
Later, return to Bodhgaya. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04: Bodhgaya – Departure
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Bodh Gaya Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
