Day 01: Arrival in Delhi – Leisure & Overnight Stay
Arrive in Delhi, where our representative will warmly welcome you at the airport or railway station and assist you with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in, relax and unwind after your journey. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure and stay overnight in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast, begin a guided sightseeing tour of Delhi. Visit the serene Raj Ghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, followed by the majestic Red Fort and the historic Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India. Drive past iconic landmarks such as India Gate, Parliament House, and the President’s House. Later, explore famous attractions including Lotus Temple, Humayun’s Tomb, and, if time permits, the magnificent Akshardham Temple. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 03: Delhi – Agra | Taj Mahal & Agra Fort
After breakfast, drive to Agra. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and freshen up. Later, visit the world-famous Taj Mahal, the timeless symbol of love built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of Mumtaz Mahal. Continue your tour with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Agra Fort, renowned for its grand Mughal architecture, royal palaces, Diwan-i-Aam, and Diwan-i-Khas. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Agra.
Day 04: Agra – Sankasya – Lucknow
After breakfast, proceed towards Lucknow with an en-route visit to Sankasya, an important Buddhist pilgrimage destination believed to be the place where Lord Buddha descended from heaven after preaching Abhidhamma. Explore the Buddha Temple, Ashokan Elephant Pillar, Maya Devi Temple, and the Sri Lankan Buddhist School. After lunch, continue your journey to Lucknow. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 05: Lucknow Sightseeing – Shravasti
After breakfast, visit some of Lucknow’s famous landmarks including Bara Imambara and Chhota Imambara, known for their beautiful Mughal architecture and historical significance. Later, drive to Shravasti, one of the most sacred Buddhist destinations where Lord Buddha spent many monsoon seasons preaching Buddhism. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and stay overnight in Shravasti.
Day 06: Shravasti Sightseeing – Lumbini
After breakfast, explore the sacred Buddhist sites of Shravasti including Saheth (Jetavana Monastery) and Maheth, associated with the famous Angulimala Caves. Visit the Ananda Bodhi Tree, Ghoshitaram Monastery, Angulimala Stupa, and Anathapindika Stupa. After lunch, drive to Lumbini in Nepal, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Lumbini.
Day 07: Kapilvastu Excursion – Return to Lumbini
After breakfast, take an excursion to Kapilvastu, the ancient kingdom and childhood home of Prince Siddhartha Gautama. Explore the archaeological remains of the Kapilvastu Kingdom Complex, Maya Devi Temple, Lumbini Garden, and Taragaon Museum. In the evening, return to Lumbini for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 08: Lumbini – Kushinagar
After breakfast, visit the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha along with important attractions such as Maya Devi Temple, Eternal Peace Flame, and several Buddhist monasteries built by different countries. Later, drive to Kushinagar, the place where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana. On arrival, check in to the hotel and stay overnight in Kushinagar.
Day 09: Kushinagar – Vaishali – Patna
After breakfast, visit the Mahaparinirvana Temple, Rambhar Stupa (the cremation site of Lord Buddha), and the Japanese Temple in Kushinagar. Later, drive to Vaishali, where Lord Buddha delivered his last sermon. Explore the Ashokan Lion Pillar at Kolhua, the Coronation Tank (Abhishek Pushkaran), and other important Buddhist sites. Continue to Patna and check in to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Patna – Nalanda – Rajgir – Bodhgaya
After breakfast, drive to Nalanda to visit the famous Nalanda University Archaeological Complex, one of the world’s oldest centers of learning. Also visit the Xuan Zang Memorial Hall and Chinese Pagoda. Continue to Rajgir, the ancient capital of Magadha Kingdom. Visit the Vishwa Shanti Stupa, Griddhakuta (Vulture Peak), and other important Buddhist attractions. Later, drive to Bodhgaya and check in to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 11: Bodhgaya – Dungeshwari Caves – Sujata Village
After breakfast, visit the sacred Mahabodhi Temple and the Bodhi Tree, where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Explore Sujata Temple and nearby monasteries. Later, proceed to the Dungeshwari Cave Temples, also known as Mahakala Caves, where Buddha practiced severe penance before attaining enlightenment. Return to Bodhgaya for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 12: Bodhgaya – Varanasi | Evening Ganga Aarti
After breakfast, drive to Varanasi, one of the oldest living cities in the world. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. In the evening, witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremony at Dashashwamedh Ghat, an unforgettable spiritual experience on the banks of the River Ganga. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the ghats before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay in Varanasi.
Day 13: Varanasi Sunrise Boat Ride – Sarnath Excursion
Early in the morning, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the River Ganga during sunrise and experience the spiritual charm of Subah-e-Banaras. Witness the historic ghats and the daily rituals performed along the riverbanks. After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon at Deer Park. Visit Dhamekha Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihara, Buddhist temples, and the Archaeological Museum. Return to Varanasi for an overnight stay.
Day 14: Departure from Varanasi
