Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu – Airport Pickup & Hotel Transfer

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and assist you with your transfer to the hotel. Kathmandu Valley, the cultural and spiritual heart of Nepal, offers a perfect beginning to your Buddhist pilgrimage journey.

After check-in, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure and relax after your journey.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing – Pashupatinath Temple & Boudhanath Stupa

After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of Kathmandu with a visit to the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most revered Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Later, continue to the magnificent Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world and an important center of Tibetan Buddhism. Explore the peaceful surroundings, Buddhist monasteries, nunneries, and the Taragaon Museum Complex.

Spend some time experiencing the spiritual atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage Site before returning to the hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Lumbini | Birthplace of Lord Buddha (350 KM / 7 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Lumbini, the sacred birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism.

Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and later proceed for local sightseeing. Visit the holy Maya Devi Temple, Eternal Peace Flame, Lumbini Museum, Thai Buddhist Monastery, Myanmar Golden Temple, and several international monasteries built by Buddhist communities from around the world.

Enjoy the serene and spiritual ambiance of this important pilgrimage destination.

Day 04: Lumbini – Shravasti | Saheth & Maheth Tour (225 KM / 6 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive towards Shravasti in India. Kindly ensure you carry a valid Indian visa for border crossing formalities.

Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and begin sightseeing of Shravasti, one of the major places associated with Lord Buddha where he spent many monsoon seasons and performed several miracles.

Visit Saheth (Jetavana Monastery) and Maheth (Angulimala Caves), along with important Buddhist attractions including Jetavana Vihara, Ananda Bodhi Tree, Angulimala Stupa, Anathapindika Stupa, and ancient monasteries.

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Shravasti.

Day 05: Shravasti – Kushinagar | Mahaparinirvana Temple Tour (260 KM / 5 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Kushinagar, the sacred place where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana.

After check-in and some relaxation, visit the Mahaparinirvana Temple, housing the reclining statue of Lord Buddha, along with Rambhar Stupa, the cremation site of Buddha, and the Japanese Temple.

Spend the evening soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of this important Buddhist pilgrimage destination.

Dinner and overnight stay in Kushinagar.

Day 06: Kushinagar – Kesariya – Vaishali – Patna

After breakfast, proceed towards Patna with en-route visits to major Buddhist heritage sites.

First, visit Kesariya Stupa, considered one of the tallest and largest ancient Buddhist stupas in the world.

Continue to Vaishali, the place where Lord Buddha delivered his last sermon. Explore famous attractions such as the Ashokan Pillar, Ananda Stupa, Abhishek Pushkaran (Coronation Tank), Buddha Stupas, and Kutagarshala Vihara.

Later, drive to Patna and check in to the hotel.

Day 07: Patna – Nalanda – Rajgir – Bodhgaya

After breakfast, drive to Nalanda to visit the famous Nalanda University Archaeological Complex, one of the oldest universities in the world and a renowned center for Buddhist learning.

Also visit the Xuan Zang Memorial Hall, a beautiful Chinese-style pagoda dedicated to the famous Chinese scholar and traveler.

Later continue to Rajgir, the ancient capital of the Magadha Kingdom. Visit the World Peace Stupa built on Ratnagiri Hill, Griddhakuta (Vulture Peak), Venuvanaram, and Bimbisar Prison.

After sightseeing, drive to Bodhgaya and check in to the hotel.

Dinner and overnight stay in Bodhgaya.

Day 08: Bodhgaya – Mahabodhi Temple & Dungeshwari Caves

After breakfast, visit the sacred Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment beneath the holy Bodhi Tree.

Explore nearby Buddhist monasteries and meditation centers representing different Buddhist traditions from around the world.

Later, visit the Dungeshwari Cave Temples (Mahakala Caves), where Buddha practiced deep penance before attaining enlightenment. Also explore Sujata Village, where Sujata offered kheer to Lord Buddha.

Return to Bodhgaya for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 09: Bodhgaya – Varanasi | Evening Ganga Aarti (300 KM / 6 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive to the spiritual city of Varanasi. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax.

In the evening, witness the world-famous Ganga Aarti ceremony at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Experience the spiritual energy, devotional chants, and beautiful rituals performed on the banks of the sacred River Ganga.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Varanasi.

Day 10: Varanasi – Sunrise Boat Ride – Sarnath Excursion

Early morning, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the River Ganga during sunrise and experience the magical atmosphere of Subah-e-Banaras. Witness the ancient ghats and spiritual life of Varanasi coming alive at dawn.

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Sarnath, the sacred place where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon at Deer Park (Rishipattana).

Visit important attractions including Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihara, Archaeological Museum, and several Buddhist temples and monasteries.

In the evening, transfer to Varanasi Railway Station to board the overnight train to Agra.

Day 11: Agra Sightseeing – Taj Mahal & Agra Fort

Upon arrival in Agra, transfer to the hotel and freshen up.

Later, visit the magnificent Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and a timeless symbol of love built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of Mumtaz Mahal. (Taj Mahal remains closed on Fridays.)

Continue your sightseeing with a visit to the historic Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its royal Mughal palaces, Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khas, and beautiful gardens.

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Agra.

Day 12: Agra – Delhi | Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax.

Later, enjoy sightseeing of Delhi covering Raj Ghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, along with Red Fort and Jama Masjid.

Drive past India Gate, Parliament House, and the President’s House. You may also visit the Lotus Temple or Humayun’s Tomb depending on time and interest.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 13: Delhi – Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Delhi Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.

Return home with unforgettable memories of your spiritual Buddhist pilgrimage through Nepal and India.
