Day 01: Arrival in Delhi – Transfer to Agra (Approx. 225 KM / 5 Hours)
Upon your arrival in Delhi, our representative will warmly welcome you at the airport or railway station. Begin your journey with a comfortable drive to Agra, the historic Mughal city known for its architectural wonders. On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax after the journey. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Agra.
Day 02: Agra Sightseeing – Taj Mahal & Agra Fort – Overnight Train to Varanasi
After breakfast, start your day with a visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, this white marble masterpiece is a symbol of eternal love.
Later, explore the grand Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its royal palaces, Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience), and Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience). The fort beautifully reflects the glory of the Mughal Empire.
In the evening, transfer to Agra Railway Station to board your overnight train to Varanasi.
Day 03: Arrival in Varanasi – Sarnath Excursion – Evening Ganga Aarti
Upon arrival in Varanasi, transfer to the hotel and freshen up. Later, proceed for an excursion to Sarnath, one of the most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage sites where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon at Deer Park after attaining enlightenment.
Explore major attractions including Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihara, Buddhist temples, and the Archaeological Museum.
In the evening, attend the peaceful ritual ceremony at the Sri Lankan Buddhist Temple.
Alternatively, witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, a spiritual experience filled with devotional chants, lamps, and rituals on the banks of the holy River Ganga.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Varanasi.
Day 04: Sunrise Boat Ride in Varanasi – Drive Sto Bodhgaya
Early morning, enjoy the spiritual charm of Subah-e-Banaras with a sunrise boat ride on the River Ganga. Watch the ancient ghats come alive with prayers, rituals, and cultural activities while passing famous ghats of Varanasi.
After breakfast, drive to Bodhgaya, the sacred land where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. On arrival, check in to the hotel and relax.
Later, visit the Mahabodhi Temple and the revered Bodhi Tree, the exact place where Siddhartha Gautama became the Buddha. Spend the evening soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of this holy destination.
Dinner and overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 05: Bodhgaya – Dungeshwari Caves – Sujata Village – Meditation Experience
After breakfast, proceed for a local excursion to the famous Dungeshwari Cave Temples, also known as the Mahakala Caves. These caves are associated with the years of deep meditation and penance performed by Lord Buddha before enlightenment.
Continue to Sujata Village, where Sujata offered kheer (rice pudding) to Lord Buddha, marking an important turning point in his spiritual journey.
Later, participate in a peaceful meditation session at one of the Buddhist monasteries in Bodhgaya, offering a deeply spiritual and calming experience.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 06: Bodhgaya – Rajgir – Nalanda – Patna
After breakfast, drive to Rajgir, an important Buddhist pilgrimage destination and the ancient capital of the Magadha Kingdom.
Visit Griddhakuta (Vulture’s Peak), where Lord Buddha delivered many sermons, along with the World Peace Stupa, Venuvan Monastery, and Bimbisara Jail.
Later, continue to Nalanda to explore the ruins of the ancient Nalanda University, one of the oldest centers of learning in the world and a renowned hub for Buddhist studies.
After sightseeing, proceed to Patna. On arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Patna.
Day 07: Patna – Vaishali – Kesaria – Kushinagar
After breakfast, drive toward Kushinagar. En route, visit Vaishali, the sacred place where Lord Buddha delivered his last sermon and announced his Mahaparinirvana.
Vaishali is also famous for its association with Amrapali, the renowned courtesan who later became a disciple of Buddha. Explore the important Buddhist sites and monuments in the area.
Continue to Kesaria to visit the magnificent Kesaria Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world.
Later, proceed to Kushinagar and check in to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 08: Kushinagar Sightseeing – Drive to Lumbini
After breakfast, explore the sacred Buddhist attractions of Kushinagar, where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana.
Visit the Mahaparinirvana Temple, housing the reclining Buddha statue, along with Rambhar Stupa (Mukutbandhan Chaitya), the cremation site of Lord Buddha, and the Japanese Temple.
Later, drive to Lumbini in Nepal, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. After arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. Dinner and overnight stay in Lumbini.
Day 09: Lumbini – Kapilvastu – Shravasti
After breakfast, visit the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha in Lumbini. Explore important attractions including Maya Devi Temple, Buddhist monasteries, and other pilgrimage sites.
Later, drive to Kapilvastu, the childhood kingdom of Prince Siddhartha. Visit the Kapilvastu Palace Complex, Tilaurakot Museum, and nearby heritage sites connected with Buddha’s early life.
Continue your journey to Shravasti, one of the major places where Lord Buddha spent many monsoon seasons preaching Buddhism. Check in to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10: Shravasti Sightseeing – Drive to Lucknow – Overnight Train to Delhi
After breakfast, visit the important Buddhist sites of Shravasti including Saheth (Jetavana Monastery), Maheth, Anand Bodhi Tree, and Anathapindika Stupa.
Later, drive to Lucknow Railway Station to board your overnight train to Delhi.
Day 11: Delhi Departure
On arrival in Delhi, you will be assisted with transfer to the airport or hotel as per your onward travel plans.
