Day 01 : Delhi – Leh Arrival – Explore the Land of Monasteries
Begin your spiritual Himalayan journey with an early morning flight from Delhi to Leh. Upon arrival at Leh Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in and relaxation.
Leh, once the royal capital of the ancient Ladakh Kingdom, is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, peaceful monasteries, and vibrant Buddhist heritage. Surrounded by majestic mountains, the town beautifully reflects Tibetan Buddhist culture and traditions.
Later, you may enjoy a relaxed evening exploring the nearby market area and soaking in the serene atmosphere of Ladakh. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
Day 02 : Hemis Festival Celebration – Monasteries & Leh Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed to witness the spectacular Hemis Festival, one of the most celebrated Buddhist festivals in Ladakh. The festival honors Guru Padmasambhava, also known as the Second Buddha, who introduced Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet and the Himalayan region.
Visit the famous Hemis Monastery, the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. Experience the vibrant cultural performances, traditional music, sacred rituals, and the mesmerizing Cham Dance performed by monks wearing colorful costumes and mystical masks. The symbolic performances depict the victory of good over evil and create an unforgettable spiritual experience.
Later, continue for sightseeing around Leh including:
- Leh Palace – a magnificent 17th-century royal palace overlooking the town
- Namgyal Tsemo Monastery – an ancient hilltop monastery with panoramic views
- Shankar Gompa – famous for the thousand-armed image of Avalokitesvara

Day 03 : Leisure Day – Leh Bazaar & Local Exploration
After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely day exploring Leh at your own pace. You may choose to revisit Hemis Monastery to witness more cultural activities and local celebrations connected to the festival.
Alternatively, spend time exploring the vibrant Leh Bazaar, known for Tibetan handicrafts, prayer flags, traditional jewelry, and local souvenirs. Visit the famous Jokhang Temple, an important Buddhist shrine built by the Ladakh Buddhist Association.
You may also explore the historic mosque near the market, reflecting a beautiful blend of Tibetan and Islamic architecture.
Return to the hotel in the evening. Dinner and comfortable overnight stay in Leh.
Day 04 : Monasteries of Indus Valley – Shey & Thiksey Tour
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to the beautiful monasteries of the Indus Valley.
Visit Shey Monastery, once the summer residence of the royal family of Ladakh. The monastery is known for its giant copper-gilded statue of Lord Buddha and peaceful surroundings.
Continue to the iconic Thiksey Monastery, one of the most impressive monasteries in Ladakh. Perched on a hilltop, it offers stunning views of the Indus Valley and houses beautiful Buddhist murals, prayer halls, stupas, and statues. Its architecture closely resembles the famous Potala Palace of Tibet.
Later, revisit Stok Palace Museum to admire the preserved royal artifacts, costumes, jewelry, and ancient relics of the Namgyal dynasty.
After sightseeing, return to Leh. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05 : Leh – Delhi Departure
Early morning transfer to Leh Airport to board your flight back to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, continue your onward journey with unforgettable memories of Ladakh’s monasteries, Buddhist culture, Himalayan beauty, and the grand Hemis Festival celebration.
