Day 01 : Patna Arrival – Nalanda Excursion – Rajgir Transfer
Arrive at Patna Airport/Railway Station, where our representative will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer to Rajgir. En route, visit the ancient ruins of Nalanda University, one of the world’s oldest residential universities and an important center of Buddhist learning.
Also explore the Nalanda Archaeological Museum, which houses rare Buddhist sculptures, manuscripts, and historical artifacts. Continue to the Xuan Zang Memorial Hall, dedicated to the famous Chinese traveler and Buddhist scholar who studied at Nalanda.
Later, proceed to Rajgir and check in to your hotel or Swiss tent accommodation. In the evening, visit the Rajgir Festival Ground to enjoy colorful cultural performances and local festivities. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Rajgir.
Day 02 : Rajgir Sightseeing – Vulture Peak – World Peace Pagoda
After breakfast, begin a full-day sightseeing tour of Rajgir, an ancient city deeply associated with Lord Buddha and Buddhist history.
Visit the famous Saptaparni Caves, believed to be the site of the First Buddhist Council. Later, explore the historic Cyclopean Wall, one of the oldest stone fortifications in India.
Continue to the beautiful Vishwa Shanti Stupa (World Peace Pagoda), built by Japanese Buddhists atop Ratnagiri Hill. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and panoramic views of Rajgir.
Further sightseeing includes Griddhakuta Hill (Vulture’s Peak), where Lord Buddha delivered many important sermons, along with visits to Ashokan Stupa, Swarn Bhandar, and Maniyar Math.
After lunch and some relaxation, spend the evening at the Rajgir Mahotsav Ground and witness traditional sports and cultural activities such as wrestling competitions, tonga races, and tug of war events.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Rajgir.
Day 03 : Rajgir Dance Festival – Full Day Cultural Experience
After breakfast, enjoy a full day immersed in the vibrant celebrations of the Rajgir Dance Festival. Witness spectacular performances by renowned artists presenting classical Indian dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kathakali, Kuchipudi, and Odissi.
The festival also features traditional folk dances of Bihar along with mesmerizing musical performances by celebrated musicians from across India.
You can explore the lively handicraft stalls set up by local artisans offering handmade souvenirs, traditional artwork, and regional crafts at reasonable prices.
After enjoying the cultural festivities, return to the hotel or Swiss camp for dinner and overnight stay in Rajgir.
Day 04 : Rajgir – Bodhgaya Departure
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Bodhgaya Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey.
