Day 01 : Delhi Arrival – Flight to Varanasi – Excursion to Sarnath
Upon arrival in Delhi, board your flight to Varanasi. After reaching Varanasi Airport/Railway Station, our representative will assist you with the transfer to your hotel. Check-in and relax for some time.
Later, proceed for an excursion to Sarnath, one of the most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage destinations where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon at Deer Park (Rishipattana) after attaining enlightenment.
Explore the major attractions of Sarnath including the Dhamekha Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihara, Buddha Temple, and the Archaeological Museum showcasing ancient Buddhist relics and sculptures.
In the evening, attend the peaceful prayer ceremony at the Sri Lankan Buddhist Temple and experience the spiritual atmosphere of Sarnath. Return to Varanasi for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02 : Varanasi – Sunrise Boat Ride – Drive to Bodhgaya – Local Sightseeing
Early morning, enjoy the magical experience of Subah-e-Banaras with a serene boat ride on the River Ganges during sunrise. Witness the spiritual life of Varanasi as devotees perform rituals along the ghats.
During the boat ride, explore famous ghats such as Assi Ghat, Tulsi Ghat, Harishchandra Ghat, and the renowned Manikarnika Ghat, known as one of the oldest cremation grounds in the world. Each ghat has its own religious significance and historical importance.
After breakfast, drive to Bodhgaya (approx. 300 KM / 6 Hours). Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax.
Later, begin local sightseeing in Bodhgaya with a visit to the sacred Mahabodhi Temple and the holy Bodhi Tree, the exact place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. The Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is among the most important Buddhist pilgrimage centers in the world.
After sightseeing, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 03 : Bodhgaya – Dungeshwari Caves – Sujata Village – Departure
After breakfast, proceed for a spiritual excursion to the Dungeshwari Cave Temples, also known as the Mahakala Caves, where Lord Buddha practiced deep meditation and severe penance before attaining enlightenment.
Later, visit the sacred Sujata Village Temple, associated with Lady Sujata, who offered kheer to Lord Buddha before his enlightenment journey.
After completing the sightseeing tour, transfer to Bodhgaya Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey with peaceful memories of the Buddhist pilgrimage tour.
