Day 1: Delhi to Manali – Overnight Journey to the Mountains

Your unforgettable Zanskar Valley adventure begins in Delhi. In the evening, board a comfortable AC Volvo Semi-Sleeper bus and set off towards the picturesque hill town of Manali.

The overnight drive takes you through the plains of North India before gradually ascending into the majestic Himalayas. Enjoy scenic views, winding mountain roads, and the excitement of the adventure that lies ahead.

Day 2: Manali Arrival & Leisure Exploration

Arrive in Manali and check into your hotel. After the overnight journey, take some time to relax and acclimatize to the mountain environment.

Spend the day exploring the vibrant charm of Manali at your own pace. Stroll through bustling markets, discover cozy cafés in Old Manali, shop for local handicrafts, or simply unwind beside the Beas River while enjoying the refreshing mountain air.

In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: Manali to Purne via Shinku La & Gombo Rangzan (190 KM)

After breakfast, embark on an exhilarating journey towards the remote landscapes of Zanskar Valley.

Drive through the engineering marvel of Atal Tunnel and pass the scenic village of Sissu before ascending towards the mighty Shinku La Pass, a spectacular gateway connecting Himachal Pradesh with the hidden valleys of Zanskar.

Travel through the breathtaking Gombo Rangzan region, renowned for its dramatic mountain formations, rugged terrain, and untouched Himalayan beauty. Along the route, witness glacial rivers, deep canyons, and traditional mountain settlements that offer a glimpse into life in these remote high-altitude regions.

Arrive in Purne by evening and settle into a cozy homestay or cottage.

Day 4: Purne to Padum via the Legendary Phuktal Monastery (60 KM)

Today, journey deeper into the mystical heart of Zanskar Valley.

En route, visit the world-famous Phuktal Monastery, one of the most extraordinary monasteries in the Himalayas. Built into a natural cave on a dramatic cliffside overlooking the Lungnak River, this centuries-old monastery offers a unique blend of spirituality, history, and architecture.

After exploring the monastery and soaking in panoramic views of the pristine Lungnak Valley, continue your drive towards Padum, the administrative and cultural center of Zanskar.

Arrive in Padum by evening and check into your hotel.

Day 5: Padum Sightseeing & Drang Drung Glacier Excursion

Begin the day with a visit to the magnificent Karsha Monastery, the largest and most influential monastery in Zanskar Valley. Perched on a hillside overlooking the valley, the monastery is known for its ancient murals, Buddhist relics, and stunning mountain views.

Continue to the tranquil Sani Lake, a peaceful Himalayan gem reflecting the surrounding peaks and monasteries.

Later, immerse yourself in local culture as you explore Padum Market and nearby villages. In the afternoon, embark on an excursion to the awe-inspiring Drang Drung Glacier via the spectacular Pensi La Pass.

Marvel at one of Ladakh’s largest glaciers and capture breathtaking photographs of snow-clad mountains and untouched wilderness.

Return to Padum by evening.

The scenic drive offers endless opportunities for photography and nature appreciation as you journey through one of India’s least-explored mountain regions.

Reach Jispa by evening and relax amidst the serene surroundings of the Lahaul Valley.

If weather permits, enjoy a bonfire session under the starlit Himalayan sky.

Day 7: Jispa to Manali | Overnight Journey to Delhi

Reach Manali by evening and board your overnight Volvo bus for the return journey to Delhi.

  • Security deposit per motorbike of Rs. 5,000/- as per the deposit policy (refundable at the end of the trip if there is no damage or spare parts required. The refund would be credited within 7-10 working days, post filling up the security form).
