Day 01: Arrival in Bodhgaya – Nalanda Excursion – Transfer to Rajgir
Arrive at Bodh Gaya Airport or Railway Station, where our representative will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer.
Begin your journey towards Rajgir, with an enriching stop at Nalanda University Ruins—one of the world’s oldest residential universities. Explore the ancient archaeological complex, followed by a visit to the Nalanda Archaeological Museum and the Xuanzang Memorial Hall, dedicated to the famous Chinese traveler and scholar.
Continue your drive to Rajgir and check in to your hotel or Swiss tent accommodation.
In the evening, visit the vibrant Rajgir Mahotsav ground to enjoy cultural performances showcasing the rich heritage of Bihar.
Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 02: Rajgir Sightseeing & Cultural Activities
After breakfast, set out to explore the historical and spiritual attractions of Rajgir.
Visit the sacred Saptaparni Cave, an important Buddhist site where the first Buddhist council is believed to have been held. Continue to the ancient Cyclopean Wall and the serene Vishwa Shanti Stupa (World Peace Pagoda), built by Japanese Buddhists.
Further sightseeing includes:
- Griddhakuta Hill (Vulture Peak), where Lord Buddha delivered sermons
- Swarn Bhandar
- Maniyar Math
Return to the hotel for lunch.
In the evening, revisit the Rajgir Mahotsav grounds to enjoy traditional rural sports and activities such as wrestling, tonga races, and tug-of-war.
