Day 01: Bodhgaya To Varanasi – Journey To Enlightenment (300 km / 6 hrs)
Your journey will begin with you getting picked up from your hotel, house, railway station or airport to begin your trip to Bodh Gaya, one of the most significant places to pilgrimage by Buddhists from around the globe.
Upon arrival at Bodh Gaya, you will check-in to your hotel before taking time to sightsee in the area. One of the first attractions you will visit will be the Mahabodhi Temple, which is a World Heritage Site and marks the spot of where Gautama Buddha received enlightenment. After visiting the Mahabodhi Temple you will visit the Bodhi Tree and the large statue of Buddha that is located near the temple. In addition to Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhi Tree and Buddha statue you will see Sita Kund, Janaki Temple, Haleshwar Asthan and also Ramchaura Mandir located in Vaishali, which is located nearby Bodh Gaya. After you’ve finished doing your sightseeing you will return to your hotel for your overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 02: Bodhgaya – Gaya – Return to Varanasi (300 km / 6 hrs)
After Breakfast, go to Gaya (about 12 km). Here, see the famous Vishnupad Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and has many devotees who believe they see his footprints.
You will continue to see several important, internationally-recognized, Monasteries located in Bodhgaya. Among these are the Japanese Monastery, The Chinese Monastery, and The Tibetan Monastery; each has its own traditional way of building and religious significance.
You will also visit the Phalgu River, which is used by Hindus to perform traditional rituals.
After visiting these sites you will drive back to Varanasi and upon your return to Varanasi you will be dropped off at your hotel or place of residence. You will be dropped off at the railway station or at the airport at the end of your spiritual journey.
